Adirondack Regional Airport

Your Gateway to the Adirondacks

About Us

Located in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains in Northern New York, the Adirondack Regional Airport (SLK) is a full-service operation offering regularly scheduled commercial flights, charter flights, and a full-service facility for private aircraft.

History

Established in 1942, the airport has played a vital role in connecting visitors and residents to the Adirondack Region, as well as serving as an official weather reporting station. The land was originally donated by Paul Smith's College, and they still maintain the logging rights. The first runways were built by the US Army Corp of Engineers. Through the years, Adirondack Regional Airport has a rich history in aviation and weather reporting in a region known for very cold temperatures.

Our Commitment

We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience, whether you are a commercial traveller, a pilot or just stopping in to dine at Cavu Cafe.

Convenient Location

Nestled in the heart of the 6 million acre Adirondack Park, just a short drive from Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake or Lake Clear, we provide a convenient travel option for our community and visitors.
